The Opportunity
 
As Staff Accountant, you will be assisting the accounting manager in managing entities across Canada. You will be responsible for day-to-day accounting for various projects including but not limited to transaction accounting, posting entries, processing invoices, AP, AR, and account reconciliations. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow with the firm with exposure to financial modeling and contract management. 
 
Your role will include:

  • Record keeping and general ledger maintenance
  • Invoice preparation
  • Accounts payable & accounts receivables
  • Month-end close including account reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing sales tax returns (GST/HST/PST)
  • Assist in monthly financial reporting
  • Other accounting and administrative duties as required

Your Skills And Experience

  • An undergraduate degree in business with a focus on finance and/or accounting
  • Must be graduating by summer 2024 or recently graduated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Pursuing a Canadian CPA Designation
  • Self-motivated, accountable and results-driven
  • Ability to drive tasks to completion and juggle multiple deadlines
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
  • Ambition to learn and grow with the firm
